If you are unfamiliar with the D’amelio sisters I can only imagine you’ve been living under a rock for the last year. Charli, the primary sister in this dynamic duo, shot to unbelievable amounts of fame in the digital world within the last year. Harnessing TikTok as her weapon of choice, she began posting videos of herself dancing in July of 2019.

The self-help world seems to be on a crusade of trying to convince everybody that we should all start waking up early. There is evidence to suggest that these assertions are not without merit. However, in my own experience, and people I am close with, waking up later is typically the way to go.

Jared Leto probably has the right idea when it comes to the Coronavirus.

  • Would life be any different if I had no knowledge of the Coronavirus pandemic?
  • Would our reaction be different if we didn’t have the internet?
  • Is the news to blame for the politicization of the pandemic? …

Oliver loves it or hates it. I’m not quite sure which.

The ability to work from home is the dream for many people. You can wake up late, make some coffee or enjoy your breakfast, read the news, take care of your kids, work when you want, and run some errands whenever you want.

Books. Movies. TV. These things are fun, but the only thing that really matters in my world is music. At the end of the year when many people are reflecting on the personal changes they’ve made or the events that have helped shaped them I tend to reflect on all the great music I’ve found.

September 26th was McHappy Day in Argentina. A day when every McDonalds throughout the South American country donated $2 from every Big Mac sold to help fight children’s cancer. In an act of solidarity, Burger King decided to celebrate A Day Without Whopper. They opted to not sell any Whopper sandwiches, encouraging people to go buy a Big Mac instead so as to help McDonalds in their cause.

Cersei doesn’t have a whole lot of sympathy toward her enemies.

Anyone who watches Game of Thrones understands why it would be incredibly easy to hate Cersei Lannister. She’s conniving, undermining, duplicitous, and self-serving. She appears to only care about herself. She is only interested in attaining power for the sake of acquiring power rather than using that power for any particular ‘good.’ She’s proven to be a huge thorn in the side of our favorite characters and has a pretty hideous blond bulb for a haircut. …

While I was in MBA school I would jokingly say to my friends or my parents that going to MBA school was like going to “Adult School.” While I was mostly joking, there was a tinge of veracity to that statement. Going through school taught me a lot of business vernacular, I learned how to hold my own around powerful adults, it taught me to feel more confidence, and it really taught me how to think for myself. I could feel my brain processes change. I slowly began to no longer feel scared or intimidated by life or by other people. I began to really respect myself and understand how the world worked and why it was the way it was. It built within me a certain level of confidence that I had previously not experienced in life. Actually, saying “built” might be the wrong word. …

How most people approach the Gig Economy

There appears to be a conversation raging right now over whether services like Uber and Postmates should be required to reclassify their workers as W-2 employees rather than 1099 independent contractors. The conversation seems to be going on between mostly people who don’t work in tech and don’t work for these companies. It’s a noble point of view. They believe that these companies owe their workers things like a guaranteed minimum wage, health care, possibly child care while they work, oil changes, etc. …
